They are images that allow us to figure out a setting and characters that make the story happens to be fantastic and unreal to something with some consistency and credibility. Images that help to frame the book at hand in any of the genres that make up the literary world and encourage us to read or disposal to continue the search.
There are other literary works that base their reason for being in the same figure as the weight of the interest (and the critical eyes) fall on the general (the color, shapes, the first visual impression) and the detail. They are works in which the term premium on the textual paintings, with images and colors that already from the first pages, from the earliest pieces, we are building an imaginary environment which fits the rest of the story. Our choice will depend on whether the atmosphere that the book is exhaled from your artwork to our liking or if the contrary does not interest us or dislike us completely, without giving even a chance the body argument of the book.
Classics endless, complex historical events, legends, lives of famous people ... Everything becomes closer to the general public (the children and youth in particular) when in the books correctly illustrated with line images as explained by words, either real or imaginary, but always faithful to what is told, without converting the cult publication for collectors and interested parties across the continent more than substance.

But who should illustrate a book? "The author (or, failing any confidence illustrator), who knows best what they want and how they want to convey to your readers? And in the event that the author had died and we met with a classic? Illustrate how a literary gem without damaging it?
There are few instances in which both the joy of reading as not, have seen some classic accompanied by several illustrations made for the occasion by a master of the genre. The combination, however, does not always yield the desired results you want. Pictures and words are within the same work, worthy of art collectors, not dependent from each other but rather mixed like oil and water do in a bowl.
How many times have we seen literary works of art adorned with drawings and watercolors, modern, surreal, incomprehensible, totally anachronistic to the text itself? The art and art does not always make a good match, let alone if you do not know how to choose the elements which make up the final work.
Books Illustrations
Where does the success of a well-illustrated book in which the whole image-text reveals a successful combination of both forms of expression?
Read a book without pictures in it, although we have been previously influenced by the cover design has a positive and a negative side, both perfectly contestable. Read, and while we do it ourselves we create in our mind a landscape, a place where the characters move, a stage, a small personal film according to data obtained from the pages of the book in question.
The illustrations, in turn, partly free preset that scenario creation and modification in our mind so that the imagination does not just take off the same way you would if this is a book devoid of images. Adherents to them defend their position by ensuring that the story told more truly becomes whether the author has not only imagined something to tell, but it also has passed through drawings or other pictorial elements.
